Surya's 'Seventh Sense' details

Six years after the blockbuster Ghajini (2005), director A.R.Murugadoss and actor Surya are coming together with their second film is titled Seventh Sense in Telugu. The film's logo was unveiled on Friday, September 09, 2011 at Taj Krishna Hotel in Hyderabad. 

Surya, Sruthi Haasan, director Murugadoss and Telugu version's producer Subramanyam were present. Hero Sunil, directors Sukumar, Boyapati Srinu and Meher Ramesh, producer Bellamkonda and N V Prasad graced the ceremony. 

Surya said he has no word for describing the film. "Never on Indian screen was touched this kind of subject. I thank Murugadoss sir for coming up with such a wonderful film," he said. "I will always be thankful to Allu Aravind sir for creating a market for me with Ghajini. And with Ghajini that I am introduced to the Telugu people and even for North audiences, the film was calling card. Ghajini is a milestone in my career and when Murugadoss and I sat together to work with another film, we have decided that this film ought to be better than our previous blockbuster. So he came up with three scripts and we finally zeroed on in this," he went on. 

Speaking in Telugu, Murugadoss informed that around Rs 10 Crores were spent on filming the first 10 minutes of the movie alone. 

Sruthi Haasan thanked Murugadoss and Surya for taking her in the movie and said that the movie's subject has never attempted on Indian screen. 

Rajanna out for Dussehra Race ?

Rajanna, the period flick starring King Akkineni Nagarjuna, was originally scheduled to arrive on September 30th. But the latest news from our sources points out at a possible delay in the release date. The movie is being directed by Vijayendra Prasad, father of ace director S.S.Rajamouli while Rajamouli himself is helming the action episodes.

The movie reportedly has some mega action scenes and involves highly technical post-production work. As a result, the movie is facing some unexpected delays. If Rajanna misses the September 30th deadline, it will be released after the third week of October.

Rajanna’s delay will turn into an unexpected blessing for Dookudu, which is releasing on September 23rd. Dookudu will then have a clear run of more than two weeks until October 6th when Oosaravelli will hit the screens.

Dookudu Censor on September 19

Dookudu movie would go to the censor on September 19 going by the current pace of the production. The unit is currently shooting an item song on Mahesh Babu and Parvati Melton in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. The post production works are also running parallely and in all probabilities, the first copy of Dookudu is expected to be ready by September 18 and the movie would go for the censor on September 19.

To say that the picture is morphed is an insult to both the brand FHM as well as the collective intelligence of you (her fans) as well as anyone with half an idea about how photoshop works. We don’t know what exactly made Kajal change her mind after the shoot…but if she did the magazine really can not be blamed.

Ram and Gautham Menon film begins

Shooting of Gautham Vasudev Menon and Ram's new love story began on Monday morning in Chennai. Gautham Menon is producing the film on his own banner Photon Kathaas. He is simultaneously making Telugu and Tamil versions like he did for Ye Maaya Chesave. Ram and Samantha are the pair for the Telugu version and Jiva and Samantha are doing the Tamil version, which is titled Neethane En Ponvasantham.

Auto Nagar Surya shooting from Oct 6

Auto Nagar Srya is an upcoming film of Naga Chaitanya and Samantha ( Ye Maaya Chesave pair ) is coming together again under Devakatta direction. The movie stars its shooting from October 6.

Bharateeyudu sequel soon?

Creative director Shankar is contemplating to make sequel to Bharateeyudu and it will be named Indian 2. The Kamal Hassan starrer released in 1996 (Bharateeyudu in Telugu, Indian in Tamil and Hindustani in Hindi) was a sensational hit across the country. Released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, it bagged Kamal National Award, Film Fare  and Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actor. He played dual roles – father and son – and also starred Manisha Koirala and Urmila Matondkar as female leads. AR Rahman’s music too contributed a lot in its success.

As of now, Shankar is busy with Nanban, Tamil remake of Hindi 3 Idiots, the completion of which will see Indian 2 taking off. AM Rathnam will produce the sequel, too. It’s not yet known as to whether or not Kamal would be featured in the second instalment.

Dookudu item song from 6th

Prince Mahesh Babu’s high voltage action entertainer Dookudu is completing all its production work in time to get ready for release on September 23rd. Only the super hit item song “Poovai Poovai” needs to be shot and news is that this song will be shot from September 6th onwards at Ramoji Film City.

The post production work of the movie is simultaneously going on at Shabdalaya Studios. The movie’s audio album has received terrific response from the public. Thaman has scored the music for this movie.

Samantha is playing the lead role in this movie being directed by Sreenu Vytla. Dookudu is being produced on 14 Reels Entertainment Banner.

Nagarjuna's Damarukam Movie has 5 Sets

King Akkineni Nagarjuna's under shoot movie 'Damarukam' has five specially constructed sets it seems. Damarukam, one of the biggest budget movies in Nagarjuna's career, is a socio-fantasy movie and the script demands some specially erected sets apart from the computer graphics (CG) says an insider from the production. Reports say that as many as 5 sets have been planned to be constructed for this movie - one at Saradhi Studios in Ameerpet, a rich house set at Annapurna Studios, another burial ground set is coming up at the Annapurna 7 acres space and 2 more special sets in Nanakramguda studios.

 

Inspired from the book ‘Immortals of Meluha’ written by Amish Tripathi, Damarukam movie's subject line spins on the essence of Lord Shiva and that all gods were once human beings and their deeds has turned them gods. If this is true, then it would be interesting to see how director Srinivas Reddy handled the script.
