The Dirty Picture: Vidya Balan exposing in red blouse

First look of ‘The Dirty Picture’ is out where Vidya Balan is playing sex bombshell Silk Smitha and the teaser proved to be a bombardment as Vidya Balan exposing her secret asset in a red blouse with three actors, Nassseruddin Shah, Emraan Hashmi and Tusshar Kapoor getting too intimate to the actor. Red blouse, red saree and red lip-stick gives a perfect relection of the 80's.


 "The poster and the logo of the film has a very 1980s feel to it because the movie is set in that period. We will be launching the first trailer of 'The Dirty Picture' in Mumbai August 30," Girish Johar, head of acquisition and distribution, Balaji Motion Pictures, told IANS over the phone from Mumbai.

The film will be released on December 2, the birth anniversary o f Silk Smitha. Smitha was a hot name of the 80’s where her semi-nude roles and bold scene earned her huge popularity but later financial crisis and personal problems took a toll in her life.


 The film has been produced by Ekta Kapoor and directed by Milan Luthria. Ekta told: "It's a beautiful coincidence since she is one of our muses, along with other Southern actors like Shakeela, Nylon Nandini and Polyester Padmini."

"My film is not inspired by any one of them, but is a reflection of an era when they used their sexuality to carve a niche for themselves in the male-dominated South film industry. Many frowned upon them, but they were survivors and their power over the masses cannot be denied," she added.

Shahid, Sonam play KBC 5 with Big B

Shahid Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor have shot ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 5’ with host and megastar Amitabh Bachchan. They were on the show to promote their new flick, ‘Mausam’ directed by Pankaj Kapoor. The film will see the light of the day on 16th September and they were present on the show to promote their film.


"Doing #kbc with @shahidkapoor today! What an auspicious day to start promotions together..," Sonam tweeted on Monday confirming her participation in the show, as part of a promotion campaign for her major release Mausam with Shahid.


 "@SrBachchan is the coolest person ever! He is so so chic.. I'm officially majorly star struck!" she said.


Before them, Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Khan graced the show to promote their film, ‘Aarakshan’ which also stars Amitabh Bachchan in the pivotal character.

Another royal wedding is on the cards between the chotte nawab Saif Ali Khan and very beautiful, stylish and versatile Kareena Kapoor, younger daughter of Babita and Randhir Kapoor. Saif and Bebo who has been going steady for several years are now ready to walk down the aisle. The couple will get engaged in February 2012 and tie the knot in October.

“Bebo (fondly called by her friends) and Saif are getting married by the end of 2012. The engagement date has also been chalked outaround Valentine’s Day. Bebo is looking forward to the engagement,” says a source close to the actor.

The actress has worked with all the three Khans, Shahrukh, Salman and Aamir and is keen to have all of them in her wedding. She has already informed her friends to keep themselves free during those period and wanted every one of them to be part of her wedding.

“The engagement is also going to be a big celebration. The family members are already talking to their friends to block their dates for the occasion. She wants all her friends to be there at the wedding,” the source adds.

The invitation cards for the engagement ceremony will be distributed in December and they are thinking whether to declare their wedding dates in the card or not.

“Kareena is rushing against time to completeall her film committments. By the middle of next year, they will both be comfortable in their work space as Saif’s own production (also starring Kareena) Agent Vinod will also get released by that time. Prabhu Deva after settling the divorce case with his ex-wife Ramlatha got busy planning for his wedding with his ladylove and actress Nayantara.   “Poonam has been offered a signing amount of Rs. 2 crore for ‘Big Boss’ season five, but the model is considering whether to accept the offer or not,” a source closes to the model told.


 “Apart from this handsome amount, there is a contract mentioning that an ex-cricketer (one of the contestants) during the show will ask Poonam to fulfill the promise which she made during the World Cup. Because of this clause Poonam is still thinking about the offer,” the source added.

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor have finally put all the speculation about their break-up at rest by declaring their marriage. The couple is keen to tie the knot by next year. Saif-Kareena on the verge of break-up

The couple that has been going strong for four years and is considered as the most desirable Bollywood couple are on the edge of break-up. Off late, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor has been fighting a lot. Their busy schedule restricted them from spending time together. Kareena has four films lined up for release this year and she devoted her entire time in shooting with Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan. Above all, she has number of endorsement deals.

On the other side, Saif Ali Khan is also busy with his home production, ‘Agent Vinod’ and Prakash Jha’s ‘Aarakshan’ and ‘Cocktail’. Another major reason of their fall out is finance. Saif is not happy with the way Bebo spends lavishly basically after his movie, ‘Agent Vinod’ crossed the expenses limit.

While Saif doesn't mind splurging on his girl, he doesn't quite feel the same way about shelling out for her family's holidays etc. Especially now, when he has been feeling the financial pressure with his second production Agent Vinod getting delayed. He was to shoot in seven countries before. But that changed and the budget was scaled down majorly. Before he left for his London outdoor, the couple had a huge fight about finances,” the Times of India quoted a source close to the couple as saying.

Sources from the sets of Bodyguard also claimed that Kareena broke on the sets of the film after speaking to Saif on phone. “One day Kareena broke down while talking to him on the phone. She was emotional, and crying,” claimed the source.

It is said that Kareena recently went to London not just for her waxwork but also to spend time with Saif and to resolve the issues.

Model Poonam Pandey is again hitting the headlines for all wrong reasons. After making a bizarre statement of stripping down if India wins the world cup, she is making news for her MMS stripping clip.

The clip shows Poonam Pandey stripping down her clothes for a swimwear calendar shoot. She had herself posted the picture on her Facebook and Twitter Page.

Reacting to all the hype and hoopla surrounding her MMS, Poonam tweeted, “I dono What do People get Making such MMS on me Shooting it like a ghost n Uploading them ... i was just on a shoot but then such Acts hahah.”

She further added, “i never knew People made My MMS and also Uploaded on Youtube saying it a ‘STRIP ACT’ have a look.”

Kareena's wax statue to be unveiled in Sep

Soon Kareena Kapoor will be joining the bandwagon of Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan. Kareena Kapoor has been waxed at Madame Tussauds and her statue will soon be unveiled this September in UK’s Blackpool.  Then her wax model will be toured around the world.


 Kareena who is the brand ambassador of size zero laptop and clutch purse said that it is an added responsibility. Says Kareena “All this is an added responsibility that makes me nervous. But it’s an honour and a high too.”


 Kareena who has got four big budget films lined up for release this year and numbers of ad shots said that she is working round the clock, “I catch up with my family while commuting. It’s been a 14-hour work day for months. I just have time to grab dinner and crash post midnight,” she sighs. “There are people fighting for an hour of my time, 24 hours isn’t enough.”

Madhuri Dixit recalls MF Husain

Dancing diva Madhuri Dixit who has been immortalized by renowned artist M.F Husain on his canvas was shocked with his departure. Madhuri recalls the great artist and his brilliant piece of work. The actress shares fond memories of the painter, who painted her in various size and forms and even organized an exhibition in her name.

Madhuri expressed her grief on the demise of the painter over phone from Denver. “I will fall short of words to express myself on this legend. He shared a very beautiful bond with me. I will always miss him. May his soul rest in peace,” she was quoted as saying.

Husain was smitten by many Bollywood muses but Madhuri was the first who captured his heart. She shares a special bond with the Picasso of India, “Age never touched him. We were in touch always. He would travel a lot and would call me from different parts of the world to share smallest and big details about his life and profession. It was so sweet.”

Madhuri regret that she could not met him before his death, “I had invited him to come over to Denver several times, but Husain saab was always busy. I wish I could have met him once,” she said.

He died of cardiac arrest at the Royal Brompton Hospital, London. He was cremated in London but his last rites will be performed in India.
