TMobile

Well now this is quite the anomaly. According to multiple reports from T-Mobile G2 users, the battery life of their smartphones have suddenly taken a turn for the worse as in the past week, they have noticed their phones can't hold a charge for too long. Now before you jump to the conclusion that it has to do with the Android Gingerbread update, it is important to note that stock users are doing the complaining as well.
T-Mobile G2 Android battery life complaints appear out of nowhere this week
According to TMoNews, there has been a sudden influx of "T-Mobile’s support forums complaining of sudden and massive battery drains… Overnight battery losses of 50% or more seem to be par for the course for those complaining of the trouble."
Now what we're hoping here is that the upcoming Android Gingerbread update fixes is so if you happen to be running Gingerbread but still experience the problem do tell us.
While we await for a possible fix from T-Mobile, if you're experiencing this problem you can try uninstalling the latest Google Maps update. According to TMoNews, "there is some consideration that a recent update to Google Maps is the culprit with some users reporting better battery life by uninstalling the recent Maps update."
Hang in there T-Mobile G2 owners, all should be revealed soon.
