Google seems to be stepping up their marketing strategy for their recently launched Chromebooks. They have recently begun to publish a small ad link on their search page (the most visited page on the internet) which leads to their familier Chromebook web page.
This is not the first time that Google has engaged in such aggressive advertising techniques. At the height of their push for the adoption of the Chrome Browser, Google also published an ad button on their search page. With no doubt this has lead to Chrome being the third most prolific browser (and growing fast). They also adopted this strategy when they were marketing their Nexus One phone (powered by Android).
Maybe this move by the search giant will breath the much needed breath of life to their new platform, Chrome OS.
