David Beckham Reveals His New Chest Tattoo

Couple of months ago David Beckham released a picture of himself got tattooed by Hollywood tattoo artist, Mark Mahoney. He wrote on his Facebook that the chest tattoo needs 12 hours to finish. After completion, David Beckham never shows it to the public, and the drawing remains a mystery.

Only couple of days ago that David Beckham revealed his new chest tattoo, again via his Facebook page. This time the drawing looks like something that you expect to see in the roof of a church or chapel. But as usual, Beckham's tattoo is connected to his family. It depicts Jesus being carried by three angels.


"It is Jesus being carried by three cherubs and obviously the cherubs are my boys and so my thought of it is that at some point my boys are going to need to look after me and that's what they're doing in the picture. It means a lot."

David revealed he never plans to get a new tattoo done, but often wakes up inspired with an idea. "I had it done before I left Los Angeles. I don't plan on having a tattoo, just sometimes I wake up and I have an idea of an image I'd like on me," he said.

"It's just something that I've found kind of expresses how I feel or thoughts I have or memories. There's not one tattoo I've got on me that doesn't mean something," he added.


David Beckham has at least 17 tattoos in his body, and most of them connected to his family. Now that his wife, Victoria Beckham, is pregnant with their fourth child, will he add one more angel on his chest soon?

David Beckham Added a New Tattoo

David Beckham celebrates his movement to AC Milan by added a new tattoo on the right side of his torso, Jesus tatoo.

He revealed it during victory celebrations after the club beats Juventus for 3-0 at the Olympic Stadium in Turin

As seen on the picture, the religion theme tattoo shows The Christ with a bloodied back, wearing a crown of thorns
The tatto is based on a painting called Man of Sorrows by Mathew R Brooks, founder of a group called Art for the Catholic Restoration.

Just for information, David Bekcham already had 17 other tattoos, include a crucifix on the back of his neck, a couple of guardian angels on his shoulders, and the names of his three children, as well as ten roses linked around his arm - a tribute to Victoria on their 10th wedding anniversary.

So it wasn't a surprise when his sons wanted to have a tattoo in their skin just like their daddy.

David Beckham’s Son Wants a Tattoo

It’s been just a few days since David Beckham showed off a new tattoo, a ring of roses on his upper arm, and the star reveals his boys too want to grow up to be just like daddy. Speaking with Matt Lauer of NBC’s The Today Show, the star revealed that eldest Brooklyn, who is just 10 years old, has already asked for a tattoo in his body.

During interview, Beckham also gave away his smart suit to host Matt Lauer, after he admired it.

Beckham, who recently returned to the U.S. to play for LA Galaxy, changed into a pair of jeans before handing over the well-tailored outfit.

Lauer joked that he was not going to wear the suit - but instead would be selling it on eBay.

'I admired his suit, he came down in jeans and gave me the suit of his back,' he said.

'I am selling it on eBay are you kidding me. His underwear is back in the dressing room.'
